Nike Skateboarding Dunk
Inspired by the City of Love Nike SB Dunk released in February 2024, this packaging concept features a box with a built-in handle, doubling as its own carrying device. It’s designed to be a statement piece for collectors while offering practicality for skateboarders who can easily carry their shoes without an extra bag. This approach aligns with the industry's shift towards sustainability, seen with brands like Aldo and Call It Spring adopting similar designs to reduce single-use bags.
The visual identity draws from the Dunk's coconut milk colourway, using subtle milky whites and beiges with red as an accent. Inside, the design pays homage to Parisian ceiling paintings paired with a nod to Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam, mirroring the imagery from the shoe's insole. This packaging redesignenhances the "City of Love" theme and gives its box another life after initial unpackaging.
